Children in Mind were honestly the answer to my prayers after one of the worst years we’d had as a family. My son’s anxiety had completely taken over our lives and we were 18 months in to the waiting list to be seen on the NHS, we were at breaking point. I found Children in Mind on a local search and checked out their credentials. It was a big step and I was very apprehensive but I am so glad I just went for it. Gary contacted me within a day of my enquiry and went through what they could do. We agreed which direction to go in and the assessment process started immediately. It was so thorough, a lot of information was gathered from different sources, even the schools SEN lead was impressed.
Within 4 weeks of starting the process it was complete, and we finally had the answers we’d waited 6 years for. The team explained everything so clearly, the report also covered it all thoroughly, I had no questions left! And now we are finally moving forward with a plan, a greater understanding and hopefully, most importantly, a better quality of life for us all.
I cannot recommend Children in Mind highly enough. They achieved a huge amount in a short time and helped us so much. My son felt so comfortable with Gary he’s asked to see him again!
